The Collective: The Night Before Monaco
On the eve of Monaco Yacht Show 2026, Arrow and Oceanco brought the industry together at the Yacht Club de Monaco for The Collective, an evening built around the partnerships, friendships and people behind yachting. With seven industry partners and Yachtllywood’s latest book in the hands of guests, it offered a fitting beginning to the most anticipated week in the yachting calendar.
Monaco Yacht Show may officially begin when the doors open in Port Hercule, but some of its most memorable conversations happen before the show has even started. On 22 September, that conversation began at the Yacht Club de Monaco, where Arrow and Oceanco hosted The Collective, bringing together figures from across the international yachting community for the opening cocktail of Monaco Yacht Show 2026.
The evening was created in partnership with Fort Insurance International, RITTER Maison, Lateral Naval Architects, Hannaford Turner LLP, Zairos, CCS Coating Consultants for Superyachts and List General Contractor, bringing together expertise spanning insurance, design, naval architecture, legal services, financial services, coatings and yacht interiors. It was an appropriate reflection of the industry itself. No yacht is created, managed or operated in isolation. Behind every project is a network of specialists, companies and individuals whose work intersects long before the finished yacht reaches the water. The Collective put that network in one room.

THE INDUSTRY BEHIND THE YACHTS
For four days each September, Monaco naturally places the yacht at the centre of attention. The latest deliveries line Port Hercule, designers reveal new ideas and shipyards present what they have spent years bringing to life. The Collective shifted the perspective towards the people behind those achievements.
Arrow and Oceanco described the evening through the relationships and friendships that have been forged across years and, in some cases, decades. It is an idea particularly relevant to yachting, an industry in which trust and reputation travel quickly and where the same people often meet again across different yachts, companies and generations of projects.
The seven partners behind the evening illustrated that ecosystem particularly well. Each occupies a different position within the life of a yacht, yet their expertise ultimately contributes to the same world. That is perhaps what made the name The Collective feel so appropriate. The evening was not built around one discipline or one part of the industry. It reflected how yachting actually functions: collectively.
YACHTLLYWOOD AT THE COLLECTIVE
The evening also marked a special moment for Yachtllywood. Our latest edition was distributed throughout The Collective, placing the book in the hands of many of the people and companies whose work defines the industry we document. There was something particularly fitting about seeing the book circulate in that room. Yachtllywood has always looked beyond the finished yacht to the personalities, ideas and stories behind it. Our pages bring together designers, builders, owners, captains, creatives and industry leaders, not simply to document what they create, but to understand the people creating it. At The Collective, some of those relationships moved from the page back into the room.
Guests discovered the latest edition, contributors encountered their own stories in print, and familiar faces from Yachtllywood’s pages became part of the evening itself. Against the backdrop of Monaco Yacht Show, it became a small reminder of why the book exists in the first place: to create a tangible record of an industry ultimately shaped by people.
ONE NIGHT BEFORE FOUR DAYS OF MONACO
By the following morning, the rhythm had changed. Meetings began, tenders crossed Port Hercule, yacht visits filled calendars and Monaco became the centre of the superyacht world for four intense days. The Collective belonged to the moment immediately before all of that.
It was a celebration of the relationships that exist behind the yachts and the different areas of expertise required to bring this industry together. Arrow and Oceanco may have curated the evening, but its identity came from the wider collective surrounding them: their partners, clients, collaborators, captains, colleagues and friends. For Yachtllywood, being part of that evening through the distribution of our latest edition felt especially meaningful. Before Monaco became about the yachts, The Collective made it about the people behind them.
